In a very timely follow-up to the wingnuts article, Karl Rove was shouted down at a book signing event last, forcing him to make the decision to leave before he could actually sign any books.

Based on the number of people in attendance at this event, don’t count on Karl Rove’s next career to be motivational speaking.

Here’s a video clip from CNN:

Karl Rove heckled, called ‘war criminal’ at book event

Former White House chief of staff Karl Rove was heckled and branded a “war criminal’ at a book signing in Beverly Hills, California, on Monday night.

Rove, who served as senior adviser and deputy chief of staff to President Bush, was at the Saban Theater to discuss his new book, “Courage and Consequences: My Life as a Conservative in the Fight,” to an audience of about 100 people who paid up to $40 to hear him.

But the audience members were unable to get their copies of the book signed after Rove was shouted down and forced to leave the stage, reported CNN affiliate KCAL-TV.

Thus we see the differences between the outspoken elements of the left-wing and that of the right-wing. Those on the left publicly go out and express their views. Yes, they called Rove a war criminal (which he is), but they didn’t call for his assassination, they didn’t try to hurt him or spit on him, and they didn’t bring guns.

That’s what wingnuts on the left do… we express ourselves, and we even blog. But we don’t hurt people. Jodie Evans of Code Pink was the only person crossing the line of decorum when she tried to make a citizen’s arrest of Rove for war crimes.

Rove’s response? The typical reaction of those on the right – blast the people on the left for being “totalitarian”… exactly what was totalitarian about people speaking out and expressing their views? Oh wait…. it’s totalitarian because those views don’t parrot yours, right Karl? Heck, those people even paid for the privilege of mocking you – that’s the most honest money you’ve made in decades.
