Palin throws own integrity under the bus… again

Posted by Rick on October 4, 2008

Here comes the desperate attacking that is symptomatic of a campaign without ideas that is lagging behind in the polls. There are two debates left, but these promise to expose McCain even further for the fraud that he is.

The only solution? Lies, fear-mongering, and hopeless exaggerations.

Sarah Palin showed on Thursday night that she was transforming herself into the McCain attack chihuahua, and that transformation has continued with Palin’s unbelievable exaggerations of Obama “with terrorists who targeted their own country.”

It is clear that there is no hope in the McCain/Palin ticket for truth, so let the negative campaigning commence. Next it will be a resurrection of the Reverand Wright controversy and to fan the flames of another fictional controversy with Tony Rezco. Frankly, it’s all good coming from Mz. Troopergate and her buddy John “Keating” McCain, since they have provided plenty of fodder of their own.

She may be new to the national scene, but Palin was quick to check her integrity at the door. How typical of a reeling Republican Party.

Palin hits Obama for ‘terrorist’ connection

ENGLEWOOD, Colorado (CNN) — Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Saturday slammed Sen. Barack Obama’s political relationship with a former anti-war radical, accusing him of associating “with terrorists who targeted their own country.”

Palin’s attack delivered on the McCain campaign’s announcement that it would step up attacks on the Democratic presidential candidate with just a month left before the November general election.

“We see America as the greatest force for good in this world,” Palin said at a fund-raising event in Colorado, adding, “Our opponent though, is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect that he’s palling around with terrorists who would target their own country.”

Palin made similar comments later at a rally in Carson, California.
*******
Palin cited an article in Saturday’s New York Times about Obama’s relationship with Ayers, now 63. But that article concluded that “the two men do not appear to have been close. Nor has Mr. Obama ever expressed sympathy for the radical views and actions of Mr. Ayers, whom he has called ’somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago, when I was 8.’ “

Several other publications, including the Washington Post, Time magazine, the Chicago Sun-Times, The New Yorker and The National Review, have debunked the idea that Obama and Ayers had a close relationship.

Palin just cares about out country She knows McCain almost gave his life for it. She knows he is the type person who would protect us. She knows he is the type person who puts our country before himself. If you don’t care about our country you should try leaving it for a while instead of distroying it by voting for a tirrorist loving, anti- american, anti -white person like Obama. All the free stuff he says he will give you is all false used just to get your vote.

That’s right, folks… there you see it… the age old cry of the intolerant… ” If you don’t like it, leave.” Never mind that our nation was founded on dissent…. on the ability to stand up for what is right. Neo-cons can’t stand being challenged, namely because their positions and accusations are both unsupported and unsupportable.

Terrorist loving? On what evidence? That’s a desperate and helpless point.

Anti-American? I’ll hazard a guess that he has done more his nation than you ever have or ever will.

Anti-White? Anti-White? Did you seriously just write that? Like we need more redneck, racist attitudes in this country. This man will be doing far more to benefit the white, blue-collar American that has gone ignored by the Bush administration and which would continue to suffer under McSame.

Go get a rational argument - then come back and try again.

Palin if you’re going to throw stones betta make sure you don’t live in a glass house.

If Palin is going to say this, it is now perfectly legitimate to point out that she repeatedly courted a secessionist group founded by someone who openly professed hatred of the American government, cursed our flag, and wanted to secede from the Union. Sarah’s husband, Todd Palin, was a member of this group, which continues to venerate that founder to this day, for years.

As you already know, the group is the Alaska Independence Party, which sees as its ultimate goal seceding from the union. Todd was a member, with a brief exception, from 1995 until 2002, according to the Division of Elections in Alaska.

And though Sarah Palin herself was apparently not a member of this group, there’s no doubt that she repeatedly courted this secessionist organization over the years. In 1994, Palin attended the group’s annual convention, according to witnesses who spoke to ABC News’ Jake Tapper. The McCain campaign has confirmed she visited the group’s 2000 convention, and she addressed its convention this year, as an incumbent governor whose oath of office includes upholding the Constitution of the United States.

The founder of the AIP was a man named Joe Vogler. Here’s what he had to say in a 1991 interview, only a few years before Palin attended its convention: “The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government.”

He also said this: “And I won’t be buried under their damn flag. I’ll be buried in Dawson. And when Alaska is an independent nation they can bring my bones home.”

Vogler has also said: “I’m an Alaskan, not an American. I’ve got no use for America or her damned institutions.”

Thanks for the comment, Denden. Your post would be one of those little “inconvenient truths” that Sherry and the rest of the neoc-cons would prefer to ignore.

I won’t even bring up the people that McCain courted to get their endorsements. Accusations like Palin’s are really rich when we consider the source.

Sarah Palin is a liar. John McCain is a liar. They are desperate to win the election because their GOP party has destroyed our ECONOMY. John McCain’s CHIEF ECONOMIC ADVISOR, Phil Gramm, is the DEregulator who allowed the credit crisis to occur. Barak Obama is a Good, Honest, Caring man who will be the BEST president the United States has EVER had. Can you just imagine the Sarah Barbie Doll winking and blinking at Putin? She is in NO way, shape or form qualified for the office for which she is running!@!!!

All I can say is “Amen,” Kathy.

  7. bj Says:

Put a muzzle on her. She’s dangerous, dumb and deluded.

Here’s a hint, folks… when trying to pass yourself off as a news source, as opposed to just a person stating an opinion, you had better be something other than anonymous… otherwise it ain’t getting posted. I find it amusing that a person trying to pass himself off as a news source (for the Repugs, of course) claims to be in Chicago, but the log from that time shows they were in Florida.
